War Witness – an appeal for local memories of the Second World War

Friends of Tate South Lambeth Library plan to put together an event to mark the 70^th anniversary of the end of the Second World War (May 1945 in Europe, August in the Far East).

This will take the form of a panel of people now living in our neighbourhood who will talk about their experience of the war – here and abroad. The audience will be invited not just to ask questions but also to offer their memories.

The provisional date for War Witness is the evening of Wednesday April 29^th. So we’re looking for people who are ready to recount their memories. Are you interested? Do you know someone who is? Friends of TSL would be very pleased to hear from you – contact us at friendsoftsl@hotmail.com
