On 4th July 2012 Tom Moggach, food journalist, teacher, qualified grower and keen cook will talk about his book, the Urban Kitchen Gardener.
There will also be a chance to taste some of the 150 recipe ideas featured, such as Coriander and Coconut Chutney, Shiso Granita and Chilli Corn Bread and cocktails such as a Honey and Basil Daiquiri.
The talk will cover practical advice on growing, picking, preserving and cooking city crops.
From Tom‘s first hand experience working in gardens across the capital, he will also give us tips on how to tackle pests and diseases, saving seeds, taking cuttings, green gardening and preserving your harvest.
