The craft show at the library on the evening of 14th November 2012 was a big success.
We don’t know exactly how many people came along but 45 answered the feedback questionnaire and their response was very encouraging. Apart from one reply, half rated the event “excellent” and another half “good”.. There was great appreciation of this as a showcase for local talent. Many wanted more of the same – with more stalls if possible.
So the committee of Friends is looking at organising another craft show some time next year. This time we hope to accept more applications for display space. We had a waiting list for this event as we were limited by the number of tables available.
Photos of the event can be seen on the poster on the Friends board in the entrance lobby. And some of the work shown by local wood-sculptor José Cardoso (including the one shown here) is now on display in the Tate Local gallery area.
