Some early seasonal gifts from Friends

In October the library received two more additions to its resources, bought by Friends of TSL.

First, a  large external notice board to display detailed information on what’s on at the library. It is located on the open section of wall to the left of the front door, so is clearly visible to anyone on South Lambeth Road.

An external notice board of this type was the next-to-top request (after a functioning public lavatory) at a public consultation held at the library in late 2012. Responding to this demand Friends bought the notice board, using donations from two local businesses, CLS Holdings plc, a major developer at Vauxhall Nine Elms, and Citywire Financial Services Ltd, which is based in Vauxhall. Thanks to both.

Second, a selection of games – chess, scrabble, ludo, trivial pursuit, dominoes, draughts, boggle, pictionary, articulate – for the new Saturday sessions aimed at primary and secondary schoolchildren.
