Archives, coronations and celebrations – the first in a programme of local history walks

May 2nd will see the first of a series of guided local history walks setting off from Tate South Lambeth Library.

This walk includes a guided tour of the Lambeth Palace Archives and a visit to the current exhibition  “A Declaration of our hopes for the future” -Coronations from the Middle Ages to the present day.

Here’s the programme.

Meet outside Tate South Lambeth Library ( 180 South Lambeth Road) at 12.30pm on Tuesday May 2nd

Go on a gentle walk towards Vauxhall, through the Vauxhall Pleasure Ground and along Vauxhall Walk, through to the Albert Embankment and then to Lambeth Palace, arriving in time for a 2pm pre-arrangedf tour of the Archive.

Some advice – bring water with you and ear comfortable shoes.

IMPORTANT – sign up at the library or on Eventbrite by midday on Saturday  April 29th
