Friends of Tate South Lambeth Library is a community group working to improve the resources and services of South Lambeth Library. We are campaigning to save it from damaging cuts. Friends of Tate South Lambeth Library has:
- saved the library from closure in 2000
- promoted its renovation and refurbishment, both exterior and interior
- developed Tate Local, a gallery space within the library, where we run art exhibitions
- organised talks, parties and events
- enhanced the library’s links to the local community
- acted as a channel to library management and staff
