Find out what is going to happen to your library (as far as we can tell) at the Annual General Meeting of the Friends of Tate South Lambeth Library on 23 May 2012, 6.45pm for 7.00pm at the Tate South Lambeth Library, 180 South Lambeth Road.
By then, we hope to have found out something about how Lambeth sees the implications of the VNEB development for the demand for a local library service – and how Lambeth proposes to meet this.
THIS PART WE GET THROUGH QUICKLY:
1. Minutes of the last AGM May 25th 2011
2. Chairman’s Report for 2011/12
3. Treasurer’s Report
4. Elections: Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, and other committee members (some with designated tasks). New members VERY WELCOME! This year, we need all the help we can get….
5. THIS PART IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT – COME TO FIND OUT WHAT IS GOING ON – AND GIVE YOUR VIEWS Open discussion on the way ahead in the Cooperative Libraries regime proposed by Lambeth Council – looking at proposals for increased use of the library building and its resources to ensure the continuation of the library under very severely reduced funding.
